baked cinnamon apples & bananas
Ready in 20 minutes | Serves 4
This naturally sweet dish is full of fiber and flavor.
Ingredients:
- 2 medium apples, sliced (leave the peel on for fiber)
- 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 tbsp raisins or chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil or margarine (optional, for baking dish)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a small baking dish with oil or margarine (optional).
- In a bowl, mix apples, bananas, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
- Pour into the baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until apples are soft and fragrant.
- Top with raisins or walnuts if using. Serve warm.
