Informed by provider feedback, we’ve recently updated several resources on our websites to support providers and their staff.

Service Authorization Programs page

Provider Education & Training

Our new Education & Training page features:

  • Required annual training content for Critical Incidents and Significant Events reporting; Fraud, Waste, and Abuse; and Cultural Competency
  • On-demand version of the New Provider Orientation
  • A schedule of upcoming webinars and orientations for Meridian and our family of plans
  • No-cost continuing education opportunities for providers through the Centene Institute for Advanced Health Education
  • Education about the CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) patient experience survey

Quick Reference Guides

Use our Quick Reference Guides for guidance on everyday administrative tasks, such as accessing secure provider portals, requesting prior authorization, and reviewing the Preferred Drug List.

Provider Updates and Status Requests

  • Use our online tool to submit Provider Updates, such as adding/terming a provider, changing service locations, or revising demographic information
    • When 5 or more updates are needed, select “Multiple Request Types” and upload a new roster
    • Submit comprehensive rosters quarterly using the Provider Updates tool.
  • Get a copy of your provider data and check the status of submissions using our new Status Request tool

Behavioral Health (BH) Provider Resources

  • Our new Behavioral Health Provider Resources page consolidates content for the provision of BH care, such as:
    • Guidance for referring members with BH needs to care coordination
    • BH prior authorization and notification requirements
    • Specialized BH programs
    • BH provider orientations and no-cost educational courses
