Southern Illinois University hosts the Southern Illinois Drug Awareness Conference. This two-day seminar provides an opportunity to bring local agencies together to discuss the intersectionality of substance use, mental health and homelessness issues that southern Illinois is experiencing. Community stakeholders such as law enforcement, healthcare providers, child and family services, prevention, educators, treatment providers, recovery support specialists, veterans and other sectors, will be presenting issues southern Illinois professionals are facing and solutions that are being implemented. Meridian will be participating as an exhibitor providing plan information, health literature, and promotional items.
