Updated Provider Manuals for Meridian Medicaid Plan and YouthCare

Meridian has released updated provider manuals to support Medicaid providers:

• The 2026 Meridian Provider Manual (PDF) covers policies and procedures for Meridian Medicaid Plan (Meridian) and Meridian Managed Long Term Services & Supports (MLTSS) providers
• The 2026 YouthCare Provider Manual (PDF) covers policies and procedures for the YouthCare HealthChoice Illinois plan

Navigate to page two of each manual for a summary of notable updates, such as:

• Updated information about service authorization programs, including updated guidance on prior authorization and notification requirements
• Updated procedures and timeframes for a peer-to-peer discussion
• Revised appointment availability standards for specialty care providers
